Moroseta is a new building that behaves like an old one. Architect Andrew Trotter drew it in the local vernacular — thick stone walls, lime plaster, inner courtyard — and set it in an olive grove a few minutes outside Ostuni, with the white city stacked on its hill in the distance. There are six rooms, each opening to its own patch of garden or terrace.
The kitchen is the other half of the reason to come. Dinners are communal, seasonal, and cooked a few steps from the table, and the masseria's food has become a quiet destination of its own. Days here are pool, grove, table, repeat — which is the point.
