What we collect, and why.
Lento is a small site run by one person. This page says plainly what data it touches. Last updated 26 July 2026.
What runs by default
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Pages are served through Vercel, which keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, user agent) to run and protect the service.
What runs only after you accept
If you accept cookies in the banner, two things load: Google Analytics, which counts visits so we can see which stays people read, and Stay22, which helps credit bookings made through our links. Choose “Essential only” and neither loads. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser; the banner will ask again.
Booking links
Links marked as booking links go through affiliate programs (Stay22, Booking.com, or a hotel’s own program). The partner sees that the visit came from Lento and pays us a commission if you book. Prices are the same either way. Hotels cannot pay to be listed; commissions never decide what appears in the collection.
The letter
If you join the letter we store your email address, use it to send the letter, and nothing else. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to your local data protection authority. For any of that, write to hello@thelento.com and we will answer within a month.
