Masseria Moroseta
Ostuni, Italy
Borgo Egnazia is Puglia's most famous hotel: a white village built from scratch, with its own golf course, spa, beach clubs, and several hundred staff. It does what it does at enormous scale, and it photographs like a dream.
If what pulls you is the white stone, the olive trees, and the idea of Puglia rather than the resort around them, these are the small, real versions: a six-room farmhouse outside Ostuni and an emptied family palazzo in the deep south.
We have not slept at Borgo Egnazia, so it is not in the collection. Nothing joins without a stay we can vouch for, and hotels cannot pay to be listed.
