Azulik is Tulum's most photographed hotel: treehouse villas, no electric light, a museum of its own, and prices that match the fame.
Nômade shares the beach and the ritual without the spectacle. And if what you want is the barefoot pace rather than Tulum itself, San Cristóbal does it on the Pacific, with surf instead of scene.
We have not slept at Azulik, so it is not in the collection. Nothing joins without a stay we can vouch for, and hotels cannot pay to be listed.
