Aquatio is Matera's smooth modern answer to sleeping in stone: caves reworked with clean plaster and warm light, an underground pool, a spa in the rock. It gives the Sassi a luxury finish.
Sextantio answers the same caves with silence: candles instead of spotlights, and almost nothing in the room but a bed and the stone. If you want Matera itself rather than a spa carved into it, sleep at Sextantio.
